Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 12: The National School of Drama (NSD) Mumbai Centre proudly marked the Deeksharambh, the auspicious commencement of its Basic 3-Month Certificate Course and Weekend Acting Course, curated and organized under the guidance of Shri Chiitaranjan Tripathy, Director of the National School of Drama, Mumbai Chapter, and Shri Santanu Bose, Associate Professor & Dean (Academics), NSD, who is instrumental behind this Mumbai centre.
The Deeksharambh ceremony brought together faculty members, theatre practitioners, and students, reinforcing NSD’s continued commitment to cultivating the next generation of actors and storytellers. The diverse curriculum, experienced mentors, and immersive modules ensure that young aspirants receive world-class training right from their first step into professional theatre.
The initiative aims to nurture raw talent, strengthen artistic foundations, and provide aspirants with professionally structured theatre and acting training. With Mumbai being the heart of India’s performing arts ecosystem, NSD’s new cohort is designed to empower students with a deep understanding of the craft through a blend of theory, practical sessions, and performance-based learning.
