International Conference on Contribution of Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose : A Satyagrahi Scientist

November 22: On the occasion of 164^th birth anniversary of Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose, ‘International Conference on Contributions of JC Bose: A Satyagrahi Scientist’ is going to be jointly organized by Inter-University Accelerator Centre, Delhi and Indraprastha Vigyan Bharati with the support from Ministry of Culture on 30^th Nov – 01^st Dec 2022.

The conference aims to highlight the role of J C Bose as a Satyagrahi Scientist, understand the contemporary relevance of his works, the ideas that made him a vision for a self-reliant India and his immense contributions to science.

Secretary of Indraprastha Vigyan Bharati, Professor Rajiv Singh talks about the conference and says, “It’s a wonderfully conceptualised thematic conference where we will be discussing about more than 22 eminent scientists of India in honour of Jagdish Chandra Bose. It is important to highlight his contributions to the present generation.”

Dr. Arvind C Ranade, Executive Director, INSA also adds his thoughts for a better understanding of the conference saying, “This conference aims to address a certain gap in knowledge, that is, all our lives we have highlighted only political figures as the torchbearers of India’s freedom struggle. We have missed out on the important contributions of the scientists and their innovations that gave India a global stage. This conference aims to do that on a larger scale to reach a wider audience and I hope everyone will have takeaways from it.”
